Bax, Pirmin, and the gang are back on the case—this time not only in Valais but also in Bern. Joining David Constantin and Dragan Vujic this season is the French-Swiss comedy duo “Vincent et Vincent.” The third season of the hit police comedy airs on SRF 1 and Play Suisse. “Tschugger” is a production of Shining Film and SRF.
For the Valais “Tschuggers,” nothing is the same anymore. The police officers from Upper Valais have merged with the cops from Lower Valais (played, among others, by the French-Swiss comedy duo Vincent Kucholl and Vincent Veillon). Bax (David Constantin) is trying to build a new life for himself outside the Valais, which is proving difficult. Pirmin (Dragan Vujic) is enjoying parenthood with his wife Regina (Lena Furrer). But the past won’t let them rest: a hidden will and two murders shatter their newfound peace and reawaken Bax and Pirmin’s dormant detective instincts. The two Tschuggers seek help from an old colleague to solve the case. And, of course, there’s also a reunion with the ambitious rapper Valmira (Annalena Miano) and her manager Juni (Arsène Junior Page)—Valmira is finally ready to take the next step in her career.
Producer Sophie Toth of Zurich-based Shining Film is also producing Seasons 3 and 4—with a crew consisting largely of the same trusted team. David Constantin plays the lead role and co-directs with Johannes Bachmann, supported by Rafael Kistler behind the camera.
David Constantin and Mats Frey serve as creators. The scripts were developed in SRF’s Writer’s Room under the direction of David Constantin and Johannes Bachmann, along with writers Jelena Vujović, Fiona Schreier, Pascal Glatz, Christian Wehrlin, and Arnold H. Bucher, supported by Rafael Kistler and Mats Frey. In addition to David Constantin, Dragan Vujic, and Anna Rossinelli, the cast also features a return appearance by Cédric Schild. And among the Lower Valais cops are the French-Swiss comedy duo Vincent Kucholl and Vincent Veillon, known as “Vincent et Vincent.”
