Ice Hockey World Championship 2026

IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2026 - National provision for ProSiebenSat.1

As part of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2026, we were commissioned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE to broadcast selected games directly from the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich. With our "Horu1" OB van, we were on site throughout the tournament and were responsible for the technical implementation of the broadcasts for ProSieben and ProSieben MAXX.

In addition to the complete provision of the broadcast infrastructure, we were responsible for the realization of the studio, the commentator positions, the flash camera positions and a players cam with large optics. Our team also implemented the concept, design and construction of the studio. A modern lighting concept with soft, indirect lighting ensured a high-quality and contemporary appearance on air. The broadcasts were hosted by Matthias Killing, accompanied by ice hockey legends and experts Uwe Krupp and Stefan Ustorf.

Over a period of 17 days, we covered a total of 20 games live. The production included taking over the world feed as well as individual additional feeds from Zurich and Fribourg, supplemented by the connection to international broadcasting and advertising systems. The quarter-finals were also produced remotely from Fribourg.

Together with the editorial team, technical team and all production partners, the result was a smooth live production at an international level.
