As part of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, we were commissioned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE to broadcast selected games live from the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich. We were on site throughout the entire tournament with our OB van “Horu1” and were responsible for the technical production of the broadcasts for ProSieben and ProSieben MAXX.
In addition to providing the complete broadcast infrastructure, we handled the setup of the studio, the commentator booths, the flash camera positions, and a player cam with a high-powered lens. Our team also handled the conception, design, and construction of the studio. A modern lighting concept featuring soft, indirect lighting ensured a high-quality and contemporary on-air look. The broadcasts were hosted by Matthias Killing, accompanied by hockey legends and experts Uwe Krupp and Stefan Ustorf.
Over a period of 17 days, we covered a total of 20 games live. The production included handling the world feed as well as individual additional feeds from Zurich and Fribourg, supplemented by integration with international broadcast and advertising systems. The quarterfinals were also produced remotely from Fribourg.
Working together with the editorial team, technical staff, and all production partners, we delivered a seamless live production at an international level.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and everyone involved for their trust and outstanding cooperation throughout the World Cup.
