Aletsch Arena

The Aletsch Arena and Bellwald were included in the UCI Mountain Bike World Series Gravity calendar for the first time. From July 12–14, 2024, the world’s best riders competed on the challenging trail network at the Great Aletsch Glacier. The overall course of an enduro race consists of various stages connected by transfer sections, and lifts may also be used to cover parts of the route. Accordingly, the race covered a long distance, stretching from Riederalp through Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp all the way to Bellwald.

Concept and Execution

Most spectators visited the event hub in the valley. There, however, they would have seen only the final meters of the riders’ runs. To make the action more immersive for spectators, a reporter’s camera was on the move conducting various interviews with athletes and spectators, while eight track cameras were in use, broadcasting the individual stages live to the event hub in the valley.In addition, brual güet’s LED trailer was stationed at the finish line. All the footage was made available to media representatives and the association, ensuring a strong response for the organizers.
